Music is the highest form of knowledge according to the Riga Veda. Also, Musical Intelligence is one of the most profound forms of intelligence according to theory of multiple intelligences proposed by Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner. If you have a passion for music and you wish to gain industry level skills, you have landed at the right page.

We are the first institute in Uttrakhand to offer courses on Music Arrangement, Composition and DJ-ing. The courses include an introduction to Sound Engineering to solidify the basics of the students. Industry level software (Pro Tools and Ableton) are used for all the demonstrations and assignments.

All this, at a very affordable fee of 52,000. The courses are 6 months in duration and cover all the aspects required for a music professional in a practical manner.

Professionals with standards

Rahul Arora is a Bollywood Music Director, Music Producer and SAE international (Sound Engineering) alumnus with a strong background in computers (Computer Science Hons. From Hans Raj College, Delhi University) and Music Theory (Grade 5 in Music Theory, TCL). He spent a decade and a half in the industry starting out as a Sound Engineer (Jolly LLB and Aashiqui 2) and educator (SAE international). Later he progressed to Jingle Production and also directed music for the 2016 Bollywood release Two Desires and a Dream. He continued to work as a ghost composer for several years before moving to Dehradun. Doon In The Box is his brainchild.

  • What is the fee structure?
  • You can pay the tuition fee of 42,000 in one go or pay in installments at 8000 per month for 6 months. There is an additional registeration fee of 10,000 which is a one time fee and is non refundable. So in total you will either end up paying 52,000 in one go or 58,000 over 6 months.
  • What are the class timings?
  • There is a double class (2 hours) for both the courses each week as follows:

    Bollywood Composition, Music Arrangement and Sound Engineering

    Batch 1 : Monday 10 am to 12 pm
    Batch 2 : Monday 4 pm to 6 pm
    Batch 3 : Saturday 10 am to 12 pm

    Music Production, Sound Engineering and DJ-ing

    Batch 1 : Tuesday 10 am to 12 pm
    Batch 2 : Tuesday 4 pm to 6 pm
    Batch 3 : Saturday 1 pm to 3 pm

  • What is the eligibility for the courses?
  • You need to have a passion for music and also should have cleared 10 th Standard. Rest everything from the very basic concepts of notes to advanced level Mixing and Mastering shall be covered in a very systematic manner.
  • Where will I find employment after the course?
  • Music Producers , Composers and DJs are always in demand. Especially with gaining popularity of OTT platforms the requirement has never been higher. Also, TV channels, media houses, studios, FM channels all need trained Composers, Music Producers and Audio professionals. According to MSDE ( Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship ) data, there are 1.2 million new jobs waiting to enter the sector by 2022.

    As a Producer and DJ, the more you perform the better you become. Even if you start out small in a club, you will always have the right skill level required to create and perform industry level music. Sky is the limit, as far as growth is concerned.

  • We shall certainly help you find an accommodation close to the institute. Public transport is easily available so you shall not have any trouble commuting.

  • In The Box Mix is a mix accomplished primarily by using Software and almost no external Hardware components. Although you shall learn a lot more than just mixing or mastering an audio track, it does reflect the essence of our teaching methodology.
